I once heard somewhere that "Anyone who does not appreciate a certain genre of music simply does not understand the context in which it is meant to be enjoyed."
What I love about every type of music is that i can submerge myself into this culture that seems almost exclusive. Every genre has it's own universe where certain behaviors, style, and social norms are infused into these people who come from all different places in the world. Witnessing people of different colors, backgrounds, education etc. come together for the simple pleasure of enjoying the music and forgetting their differences and suddenly becoming so similar is in my point of view a social phenomenon.
Because of my desire to experience these cultures I find myself living on noodles so I can afford to attend as many musical events as possible. Sometimes it's not in the best interest of my finances, but I do it anyway. I know I will not be able to do it when I have grown older and when I have responsibilities. So here I am, broke, young and free.
